In my previous life, I was crushing it as the Design Lead for Google Classroom. So crushing it that they made me a manager.
Plot twist: I sucked at being a manager.

To get my mind off of work, I tried out lots of hobbies. One of them was crochet. I spent weeks piecing together YouTube videos and blogs, making mistakes, and hoping for the best.
All I could think was - what’s a girl gotta do to crochet a cute penguin, goshyarnit?!

With each tiny stitch, I started to feel like myself again. Learning to crochet reminded me that I could still learn something new. That I wasn’t stuck. That maybe I could figure this whole management thing out too.
